The New South Wales legal philosophy Force changed the structure of their company by implementing virtual teams from exist personnel and resources. They found the virtual team approach suit their situation due to the distance between the rural areas that inevit open their service. By creating virtual teams for a specified purpose they were sufficient to execute the necessary requirements to satisfy their objectives and their customers needs.
By creating eight units, 5 col regain with their center managers and three remotely located, they were able to adequately cover all areas including the rural areas in their jurisdiction. concentrate on Managers were used to manage the units or Radio Network expediency (RNS) units and they were co located with their unit, except for the three remotely located units. To manage these entities they created several functional areas and a Project book Team was created to support the units and the regorges they were responsible for. Functional areas were created and managed at mixed levels and depending on the functional area. Functional caution areas in this project include: Time, cost, quality, human resource, communication, risk and procurement management.
Time management was very important, not only were units involved in numerous individual projects they were also part of the overall project. Time lines were unfavorable in all aspects. Though the overall project was a three year obligation they also had numerous deadlines to adopt monthly and yearly. On top of the these obligations they also worked numerous projects that included other Radio Network Service units that had other deadlines to strike to reduce cost.
Cost management is a key factor in any project. Combining projects to reduce costs and utilizing skills of employees in numerous RNS units, often happen during this project.
