The fore-fathers used various sources of doctrine that was in place to g everyplacen nations around the world as a benchmark for the Bill of Rights. Written in the early 1800s, the Bill of Rights came to be to restrict the power the government would take over the United States of America. 27 Amendments have been added to this document after it was written. The flavour of the amendments was to regulate the three branches of the governments control, and ensure rights and privileges would non be taken away from American citizens. Article V gives Congress the ability to amend the U.S. Constitution. The Bill of Rights and its 27 Amendments were written for the people by the people, for the sake of becoming a strong nation of Americans. These Amendments govern the government and protect the citizens of this country.
Congress has to suffrage in to alter existing or introduce a new amendment to the Constitution, but a unanimous decision does not have to be made. Ratification can be achieved with unless two-thirds of Congress or the Legislature. Article V is the source that gives the potency to add to the Constitution.

After Congress proposes an amendment, the Archivist of the United States, who heads the National history and Records Administration (NARA), is charged with responsibility for administering the ratification process. Congress would have to introduce an amendment to be voted on. This process is called a joint resolution. The death chair of the United States has nothing to do with this process. The amendment would be forwarded to the National memorial and Records Association (NARA) for publication. A notification in the form of a letter is sent to the Governor, and informational material is included. Once introduced the amendment is submitted to the carry legislatures, the state must ratify the amendment.
