Abstract
Professional counselors ar give by a professional code of ethics. The American steering Association (ACA) and The American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) have provided the ethics for counselors to follow and hold true to. The ACA focuses on counseling in the secular scope however does not address issues that ar related to counseling in a Christian forum. The AACC was designed specifically to provide counselors to integrate their Christian worldview into their employ. While on that point are many similarities between both codes there are also very distinctive differences as well. The AACC main quarry evaluates the impact of Christian worldview within the professional counseling practice along with guiding professionals based on Christian worldview along with focusing on honoring Jesus Christ to the fullest and what the church stands for, promote excellence in Christian counseling, assist those in need, and to harmonize Christian counselors together. This paper will analyze those similarities and differences in three ethical areas: fees, competence, and colleague relationships.
