Identity is simply a way of showcasing where a psyche or group of people originated from. That is, by their dressings, morality or even language etc. It creates an image of what a somebodys ancestors or descendants were like which in turn shows others what he or she would be like. Language is maven of the easiest ways of showcasing where an individual originated. Every group of people has their declare way of certain words, making certain tunes and communicating with others.
Language definitely conveys an individuals identity. Currently, there are in all probability over a thousand different ethnic groups and cultures crossways the world with their own languages and ways of pronouncing words respectively. This language (accent) inherently shows up when they are trying to speak in a language other than their own.



As Baldwin explained earlier in his essay, the position that we know to be probably the most common Language spoken across the world is characterized by different accents across the world in the mouths of its users (263). For example, a typical American person does not sound the same way an African person would sound when speaking in English. This is because the land (ancestors language) makes an American persons English quite different from that of the African person. For instance, my name Ogheneruona is actually a native name from my African tribe. Almost all the time an American person tries pronouncing my name, they hightail it the tone. However, if it were to be an American name, they would probably get the pronunciation remunerate at their first attempt.
