The popular restrain Looking for Alibrandi written by Italian author Melina Marchetta explores the journey of protagonist Josephine Alibrandi on her utmost year of high school. Throughout her last year she came crosswise many issues that changed her sense of identity towards herself. She constantly feels self-conscious rough herself, believing that everyone is talking behind her back because she was born without one of her parents. She is different from the most students at St Marthas and only have-to doe withs to a few. She feels left out from the rest because everyone else has a father and comparatively wealthy whilst Josie has only has her mother and is relying on a science to stay at St Marthas. We grew up in midst of the Snobs at St Marthas and discovered that somehow brains didnt count that much. Money, prestige and what your father did for a living counted.

Josie constantly got in strife at school due to the torment and bully from Ivy Loyld, torments such as hoot and Stupid Wog caused Josie to feel insecure and angry, which made her retaliate, usually get herself in trouble due to Sister Louise being mindless to the situation, only seeing Josie attack Ivy.
