eastern and West: The bollock in The Great Gatsby
As the authors of many novels do, F. Scott Fitzgerald uses contrasting locations to pertain forces that are essential to the meaning of his work, The Great Gatsby, an American novel. eastmost lump and West Egg are used to hint contradicting elements that assist the author in conveying the meaning of the tarradiddle; societys moral decay resulting from the possession of bulky amounts of bullion (wealth) or the greedy desire for more money. These dickens locations are used not still to characterize this sentiment of 1920s American society but are also used to correspond to the types of characters encountered.
easterly Egg and West Egg are …identical in contour and separated only by a courtesy bay… (1:9). But eastern Egg differs from West Egg because the people dwelling on East Egg have a different flesh of money. East Egg represents the old money; money that has been contractable and that was earned long ago. West Egg epitomizes new money; money that has been earned recently and has no history prone to it. Additionally, the differences between East and West Egg concern not only money, whether new or old, but also accessible standing in society.
Those with the old money on East Egg represent the aristocracy. Those living on West Egg, the fresh rich, work hard in a traditional substance to earn and maintain their life style but are deemed crude or crass by the owners of old money.

The East is illustrative of people like Daisy Buchannan. When the author introduces the reader to Daisy Buchannan, residing in a mansion in East Egg, he makes glide by that she lacks moral fiber.
