Biography of Sojourner truth Sojourner Truth was born in New York city in 1797. She was 5 feet and 11 inches tall. When Sojourner Truth was little she never got to know her sister or companion because they were quickly sold to their exceed. When they sold her, she was only 13 eld old.

In 1827 Sojourner Truth ran away when her master refused the freeing of slaves in New York. Sojourner Truth adopted her new-made name as a symbol of her spiritual mission. In 1843 Sojourner Truth became the leading black woman that took away the faultless struggle and suffrage of blacks and woman.
In 1851 Sojourner Truth gave a corking barbarism called Aint I a woman? And aint I a woman? Look at me! Look at my arm! (And she bared her right arm to the shoulder, showing her tremendous hefty power). I have ploughed, and planted, and gathered into barns, and no man could dealer me! And aint I a woman?
