After successful conduct of Unnati a shop class that helped orphans hone vocational skills, the local lads from Jeevan Sanyam got to allowher and decided to honor their own childrens month with the orphans and the mentally challenged at Nishkam Sewa Aashram, khedi village.
They began the day with organizing a competition for the skills that the kids had been taught during the workshop. But as they say- hunar hi succeeder hai, so everybody was equally rewarded for his/ her unique talent. After this came up a small tea party for the young guns. This was followed by a feast for the movie fans, grand screening of kung fu panda in their own desi multiplex a projector and laptop combo ! It generated a lot of enthusiasm and the kids quickly settled down in their respective cozy corners. To give them a real time feel, they were given frootis to sip and biscuits to bite simultaneously. In the end, quilts were donated to the aashram kids.
The event was organized with the help of trident group, and the president Saurabh Jain thanked Ms. Loveleen from Trident for her generosity and his entire squad for their untiring efforts and continuous interest in the works undertaken by the NGO, especially mentioning Nitin Walia.
The General Secretary, Munish Gill said it brought inner atonement and mental sanity on taking up tasks related to societys upliftment, however small the drop in the ocean be. He thanked Mr. Ajit Singh Dhillon and family from United Kingdom for sponsoring the quilts and taking stunned valuable time from their schedule.
The NGO that is an infant by comparison, is doing commendable work in the field of philanthropy and selfless service.
